Messaging
- Customers can contact you via instant message from your Yell.com listing (on the Yell app and website)
- Enables you to quickly respond to potential business opportunities any time of day and wherever you are
- Users can send messages, photos and their location, so you can gather the necessary information to help with their enquiry, without the need for a phone call
- Enables you to keep a record of all your customer conversations in one place
- See when a customer is online, or when they were last online and whether they’ve read a message you’ve sent (they can see the same)


Bookings & appointments
- Using the Messaging feature on the app, you can send appointments to customers using your phone calendar
- You can include location, duration and time of the appointment
- The customer can then add this appointment to their own phone calendar

Sending quotes
- You can use the Yell for Business app to create a quote for a customer as a PDF
- Simply fill in the relevant fields within the app, and click 'Save' to generate the quote as a PDF which you can then share with the customer
- You can send the PDF via a third party channel such as email, Facebook or WhatsApp

How do I turn on Messaging?
To activate Messaging simply download and log in to the Yell for Business app on your phone
Where does Messaging appear?
A 'Message' button is displayed to customers in search results and on your Yell.com listing page on both the Yell app and website.
How do I know when someone messages me?
So you are notified each time someone messages your business, make sure that push notifications are enabled in your phone settings for the Yell for Business app.
How do I switch off Messaging?
Go into the settings for the Yell for Business app, and select Messaging Availability. You can then untick the check box to turn off the Messaging functionality.
