I’ve been part of the Yell family for around 7 years, joining as an Onboarding agent, before transitioning to Quality Assurance and finally, Copywriting, where I’ve been promoted to Senior. I’ve always had a passion for the written word and draw on this in my day-to-day to create engaging website content that speaks to the target audience and answers their questions before they’ve been asked.
I believe great copy starts by stepping into the shoes of the end user, considering the circumstances that led to their query and drawing on these to create valuable copy that resonates. Right now, my focus is on AI, and how we can leverage modern tools to assist and enhance marketing content generation.

The customer wished to use their existing content – taken from their former Yell site – which, having been iterated over time, was in a pretty good place. With this in mind, I focussed on adding value, filling content gaps and optimising for target users in the Newcastle area.
With some slight edits, we’ve managed to shine a brighter light on the customer’s incredible packages and better sell the benefits of their products for events across the region.

Writing doesn’t stop at work, though – I’m currently studying with the OU towards a degree in Creative Writing and English Language, and I’ve recently begun writing my first novel! It just so happens that my best ideas come to me when in a hot climate near the sea – it’s a good job I love traveling so much!
