Fairbairn Marquees Ltd
How we help
Family-run Fairbairn Marquees Ltd has been providing top-quality marquees for over 30 years and is now one of the largest marquee hire firms in the North of England. They had been with Yell for over 25 years and had a great website, but it wasn’t bringing in the number of leads they wanted.
In October 2024, their new account manager, David Chambers, carried out a full marketing audit and recommended a tailored Accelerate digital marketing solution, enhanced with local search engine optimisation (SEO) services to improve their online visibility.

Amy joined Yell in 2021 as a digital marketing consultant, onboarding customers and getting them set up for success across the full range of Yell products. Having come from a graphic design background, Amy found website design to be the perfect fusion of creativity and digital and moved to her current role where she specialises in designing and building websites.
“I have developed a particular interest in user experience and conversion rate optimisation and am currently studying to further upskill in this area – after all, a great business website needs to strike the right balance between functionality, looking great, and converting customers.”
Amy has recently taken up running and is currently training for her first 10k race!
“I like to keep busy in and out of work and my two kids ensure that I am! Once all my running around for the day is done, I love to relax with music, art, or a film.”

Clare has been part of the Yell family for around 3 years, joining as a Telesales Consultant, before transitioning over to our Welcome Team as a Digital Consultant.

Clare has recently started the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Programme to grow her knowledge and skills to help our customers.

Jared Smith has worked at Yell since January 2008. With a wealth of experience in digital marketing, he now leads the Quality Assurance (QA) team, ensuring that our solutions and products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Jared’s has a strong passion for driving team success and continuously improving processes.
“Outside of work, I’m an avid music lover and try to see as much live music as I can, and can “sort of” play the guitar. I’m also a big fan of football and enjoy spending time cooking and eating great food.“

Jonathan Gadd

Jonathan has been with Yell since April 2017, and previously worked here for a 12-month fixed term contract – starting out on the phones, going through the initial calls and writing sites, but moved from there to the QA role, where he helped to ensure that our sites were of the quality our customers expect.
“When we reorganised the website creation process and needed a specialist writing team, I joined that – I had been writing for fun for years, so doing it for a living appealed! It has been great to be part of the evolution of the role since then.”
Out of work, Jonathan occasionally tries to write for fun but struggles to find time for it between playing guitar in a punk band and a ska band and being a dad!
“Supporting each other is core to the way we work and allows us to deal with customer requests in a timely manner.”

Laura has been part of the Yell family for around 7 years, joining as an Onboarding agent, before transitioning to Quality Assurance and finally, Copywriting, where she has been promoted to Senior.
“I’ve always had a passion for the written word and draw on this in my day-to-day to create engaging website content that speaks to the target audience and answers their questions before they’ve been asked.”
Laura is currently studying with the OU towards a degree in Creative Writing and English Language and has recently begun writing her first novel!
“It just so happens that my best ideas come to me when in a hot climate near the sea – it’s a good job I love traveling so much!”

Now, as a quality assurance executive, Ted is part of the team that makes sure every site meets our standards, follows best practices, and puts its best foot forward.
“Outside of Yell I spend a lot of time on 3D design which is all about details and making sure things are done right the first time. My working life goes hand in hand with my personal which can be a blessing and a curse but love what I do.”
